Mobile photography is one of the major perks of this generation. You no longer have to nibble your nails to the quick wondering if you got the shot. Did someone blink? Was your composition askew? Did you cut off their head? (A major problem of mine when trying to take hand-held self portraits of hubby and me with the rear iPhone camera.)
You can prevent those potential disasters and more with the digital revolution. But the downside is the camera roll abyss. Don’t pretend you don’t know what I’m talking about. We all have one. That rabbit hole of never-to-be-seen-again wad of photos.
So I’m here to give you the scoop on some quick but witty and interesting ways to share your pics for Free or less than the price of a cup of coffee (even some of you frou-frou coffee drinkers).
Card Em’

My absolute favorite app to share pics with a laugh is justWink (free iOS & Android app). Full of sass and wit, each card allows you to add your own image along with a personalized message.
You’ll find cards that are naughty and nice (along with frequent updates for current holidays). Hilarious captions, interesting hand-drawn characters and numerous categories makes this my go-to for sharing.

Go Postal
Postagram Postcard
My second favorite is Postagram (also a free app available for iOS and Android). Not only can you choose your pic (square format), you can also choose a little thumbnail size pic (similar to an avatar) so it’s a twofer!
Your message appears on the front of the card but the sweet twist is the pic is perforated, so it can easily be popped out, with the same message appearing on the back, for preserving your witty prose while displayed.
You can rack up ‘points’ towards free postcards fairly quickly if you follow them on Twitter or your card recipients scan the QR code.

Get Animated
notDelilah Ptch – Fun with Apps
My favorite for what Ptch terms ‘living media’! This one will have you googly-eyed (Warning: there may be drool). This über-cool free app is an iOS-only perk for now so read it and weep Android Bots.
Empty that camera roll like a pro (and Facebook photos, Instagram, pretty much everything!) turning your shots into an awesome vid. Slick UI makes it quick and easy. Add photos, title cards, choose a style and add a music track.
I created this one in less than three minutes so there’s no excuse not to Ptch your own.
